We’ve partnered with Geert Slachmuylders, internationally recognized leader in the micro-hydro industry and co-founder of Turbulent.

Geert is a well-respected author and entrepreneur who has dedicated his life to bringing micro-hydro solutions to a broader audience. He has been actively involved in several award winning micro-hydro projects in multiple countries and has received a number of prestigious awards including MIT Innovator under 35, Future of Logistics Award “the Orcelle Award”, and Best Startup in the World (Startup Nations). As co-founder of Turbulent, Geert developed a unique vortex turbine micro-hydro system.

Geert will leverage his extensive network, expertise, and passion to help bring the next generation of Helios micro-hydro technology to market. Geert plans to initially focus mill sites and properties close to creeks and small rivers. These areas are ideal for Helios technology.
