With over 590 million people, Sub-Saharan Africa has some of the highest energy poverty rates in the world. More than 50 percent of the population lives without power, relying on firewood, kerosene, or expensive, polluting, small-scale diesel generators. That number rises to nearly 75 percent for people living in rural areas where grid-tied power is unavailable.

HeliosAltas Secures $16M Zero Emissions Energy Project in the Philippines

HeliosAltas Corporation and DA Green Power Consulting (DAGPC) have agreed to an exclusive distribution and development partnership agreement for the territory of the Republic of the Philippines. The Philippines is an ideal market for the Helios PowerWheel™ Technology. The mountainous archipelago island nation provides numerous opportunities for this hydroelectric technology. Archimedes Flores, CEO of DAGPC, said "This unique renewable technology can provide consistent baseload power at a significant cost savings to our customers. We already have a backlog of installations for the first year with more projects in discussion."

HeliosAltas and Catalysit Enerrgy Technologies (CET) Agrree to Lab Purchase, Investment, and COO Position

HeliosAltas Corporation and Catalyst Energy Technologies (CET) have agreed to a stock purchase of the CET laboratory and assets located in Sequim, WA. This laboratory was used to develop off-grid, reliable power systems composed of renewable energy technologies, batteries and back-up generation. Successful commercial systems were developed in this lab and sold in off-grid locations around the world. Sales continued until the business was acquired by a third party company, leaving the lab available for HeliosAltas to acquire.

HeliosAltas Corp. and CHAUP Inc. (CHAUP) have agreed to a stock merger, with HeliosAltas arising as the surviving entity. CHAUP brings its exciting, low-impact renewable hydroelectric technology to the company. This innovative technology was inspired by the long proven energy generator, the waterwheel.
